Streamlining UGA Hockey Operations with Comprehensive Google Sheet
Developed a shared spreadsheet for efficient department collaboration, incorporating game schedules, assignments, and intern input, while evolving the tool for future use.
After my first year with UGA Hockey, we interns recognized the need for a comprehensive Google Sheet to be shared across departments for efficient and quick information gathering. Our priority in creating the spreadsheet was to keep interns in mind. It included the game schedule, player information, linked photo folders, graphics requests, writer assignments, and meeting times. Additionally, there was space for interns to share ideas and list their schedules to balance content creation with personal availability.
This spreadsheet was not only useful for us and the interns but also served as a valuable tool for other management. It provided clarity on intern tasks and schedules and linked resources for smooth departmental collaboration. Since this was a new initiative, we made frequent updates and adjustments throughout the season. Although I aimed to start the season with everything organized, the iterations allowed future interns to benefit from a resource tailored to their roles.
